Dr. Prince considers it a privilege to help people see clearly and keep their eyes healthy. He finds it especially rewarding to teach his patients a little about how eyes and vision work. He can then help them understand some of the vision challenges they may be dealing with and propose treatment options. His main goal is to give his patients peace of mind about the health of their eyes.
He has served on the Alberta College of Optometrist Continuing Competence Committee since 2007 and has been chairman of that committee since 2013.
Dr. Prince grew up in Sherwood Park, Alberta. After high school he served a two year church mission in France. After returning home from France, he did 3 years of undergraduate studies in biological sciences at the University of Alberta. He then attended the University of Waterloo for Optometry school, graduating on the Dean's honor list in 2005. Part of his schooling included a term at a clinic in Utah specializing in the treatment of glaucoma and eye disease.
Dr. Prince is married and has 4 children. In his free time he enjoys spending time with family and friends, volunteering as a community basketball coach, and participating in some sports himself, including squash and water skiing.
