Dr. Prince considers it a privelege to help people see clearly and keep their eyes healthy. He finds it especially rewarding to teach his patients a little about how eyes and vision work. He can then help them understand some of the vision challenges they may be dealing with and propose treatment options. His main goal is to give his patients peace of mind about the health of their eyes.
He has served on the Alberta College o f Optometrist Continuing Competence Committee since 2007 and has been chairman of that committee since 2013.
Dr. Prince grew up in Sherwood Park, Alberta. After high school he served a two year church mission in France. After returning home from France, he did 3 years of undergraduate studies in biological sciences at the University of Alberta. He then attended the University of Waterloo for Optometry school, graduating on the Dean's honor list in 2005. Part of his schooling included a term at a clinic in Utah specializing in the treatment of glaucoma and eye disease.
Dr. Prince is married and has 4 children. In his free time he enjoys spending time with family and friends, volunteering as a community basketball coach, and participating in some sports himself, including squash and water skiing.

Dr. Hensel is known among his patients to be a knowledgeable and thorough optometrist. Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Dr. Hensel received his Doctor of Optometry in 1980 from the University of Waterloo and met the rigorous requirements to become a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry in 1985.
He is a Past-President of the Alberta Association of Optometrists and currently serves the optometric profession as the Registrar for the Alberta College of Optometrists. Dr. Hensel has contributed a significant amount of his time and knowledge to the profession of optometry.
Dr. Hensel and his wife Lorna, have raised 3 boys. Although he enjoys golf in the summer and curling in the winter, he thoroughly enjoys engaging in various outdoor recreation activities at his cabin at the lake.

Dr. Champion's goal in every eye exam is to see a smile on each patient's face as they go through all of the testing to ensure their eyes are healthy and their vision is as clear as possible. This is especially true when he is working with children and tries to make each test a new "game". Born and raised in Edmonton, Dr. Champion loves working and living in his home town. He has lived elsewhere, though: in Africa for volunteer work, and in Oregon as he earned his Optometry Degree from Pacific University, which he completed in 2013. He enjoys volunteering in the community in various ways including presenting about eye health to Kindergartens and educating new moms through the Mommy Connections program.
For his free time, he loves hanging out with his wife and two kids. He enjoys teaching some of his hobbies to his children, including longboarding and basketball.

Dr. Cahoon's patients find him very thorough and informative while enjoying his sense of humour and appreciating his skill with young children. Since receiving his Doctor of Optometry in 2010, Dr. Cahoon has been providing his patients with specialized care to maximize their vision, while taking time to educate them so they are able to better manage their sight.
Dr. Cahoon has extensive specialized education in eye disease diagnosis and treatment due to a rotation at Spokane Veteran Hospital and worked with an expert glaucoma management. In addition, a clinical rotation in refractive surgery as well as becoming proficient in diagnosis and current treatment for dry eye increased his knowledge-base.
** We all, at Millcreek Optometry, would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Ben Cahoon for his many years of service with us. His humor, easy-going personality, compassionate spirit towards co-workers and patients alike, as well as his strong medical and diagnostic skills, will be greatly missed here but will be a blessing to those wherever he lands. We wish Ben and his family the best as they begin a new chapter in their lives down in the USA.
Dr. Cahoon wishes to extend his thanks and appreciation to all his patients to which he has had the honor to serve these many years.
